Jon Hyde is a busy musician and teacher based in the city of Bristol. Having trained extensivley in both modern Jazz, Rock and Popular music, he now enjoys an eclectic and varied performance schedual spanning venues such as Brecon Jazz Festival, The Hyatt Regency Hotel Baku (Azerbaijan) as well as numerous clubs and venues around Britain and France. His influences include Joe Pass, Ted Greene, Bill Frisell, Martin Taylor, Wayne Krantz, Adam Rogers and John Abercrombie.
He has studied with many of the industry's top professionals during his time at both the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Academy of Contemporary Music. His past tutors include Mike Outram, Dave Cliff, Guthrie Govan, Paula Gardiner, Jamie Humphries and Pete Callard.
